Please encourage your students to attend this important event. Note that it is being held during the F-period. Greetings College Republicans!

I would like to let everyone know that next WEDNESDAY at 7:30 in Fine Arts
201 we will be having our first meeting. We are starting our year off with
a guest speaker!

Bill Spadea is coming to speak about how important this race is and how you
can get involved.

We are also inviting Mercer County Chairwoman Cathy Tramontana, so be
there and meet some of the most important people in the area!

12th DISTRICT CONGRESSIONAL DEBATE ON CAMPUS

Incumbent 12th district Congressman Rush Holt (D) will debate Republican challenger Joseph Sinagra on Tuesday, October 17th during the free period in the Bart Luedeke Center Theater. The debate is sponsored by the Rider University Institute for New Jersey Politics. One of the panelists is Jamie Papapetros, the Opinion Editor of THE RIDER NEWS. Note that the 12th district includes Lawrenceville and Rider University. Please attend this important event to learn what the candidates and their parties think about the issues as November 7th’s midterm elections approach.

Corzine Taxes Online Music Sales

According to a report on ABC News Jon Corzine has passed a bill that will make digital music a taxable good in the state of NJ. No longer will that song from iTunes be just .99 cents but now $1.06. Also included in the bill are shipping and handling fees, landscaping, parking, and other items. This new legislation took effect on Oct. 1, 2006. For more information check the original article here.
