Barack Obama mania is sweeping across the country for all the wrong reasons. People say that they are voting for Sen. Obama for president because he speaks well or because he is a sharp dresser. People say they are voting for Sen. Obama because he has an engaging personality and a beautiful family and has a great back story.
But when I ask these people about the policies Sen. Obama supports or the votes he has made as a U.S. Senator, they simply do not know. This is a scary thought: blind devotion. While Obama and the following kinds of men are worlds apart, people followed dictators in Germany and Italy for the same reasons. People are simply attracted to a “rock star” allure that emanates from him. People must remember that we are voting for a president, the leader of the free world - not a homecoming king.

Hey, this is a little off topic, but here’s a wonderful Obama site: http://obamawill.com
Enjoy!
Completely agree with Kyle on this one, if people disagree on supporting one nominee over another thats one thing but when people are voting for the next president based solely on popular oppinion, that is simply and purely ignorant. These are also the same people who critisise Bush and Republican standpoints in general. Think before you speak, or even more importantly vote!

Agreed Kyle. This sort of reminds me of why people were voting for Bill back in the day. They couldn’t say why they felt “compelled” to vote for him, but “he looks nice”
ha.
