Congratulations Michael Steele

Republicans, every two years, have the opportunity to select a new leader for our party.   Tradition dictates that the President of the United States picks the leader of the political party they belong to.  With the absence of President Bush, we had an open and competitive election for Republican National Committee Chairman.  With incumbent chairman Michael Duncan presiding over the 2006 and 2008 election cycles, Republicans were ready for a change.  We found that change in Michael Steele, an African American former Lt. Governor of Maryland.  Steele is young and energetic, smart and talented; he will make an excellent chairman for our party.  He promises to bring resources and focus back to the entire country, not just the south.  I, along with the Rider Republicans, wish him the best of luck.

  1. what are you talking about, he was the leader of our party during the 08′ campaign where John m. lost to B.O., so he must have been there prior to feb. 09′
